Open gym times
The city runs an open play gymnasium here - basketball, volleyball and badminton/pickleball - during building hours: Mon-Fri 5:30am-9pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 1-7pm. Open play is $2 per visit for ages 19 and up and $1 for 18 and under, or $50 a year for unlimited open play if you live in Cobb County (Marietta Fit Pass price list, effective 1 Nov 2024). Everyone entering has to have a Fit Pass, buy a day pass or be signed in as a guest. The city also runs a women's 5v5 drop-in for ages 21 and up on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9pm, $2 per day, capped at 30 players first-come first-served. There is no published adult men's or co-ed basketball drop-in schedule, and court time moves with programming, so call (770) 794-5630 - or 770-794-5637 for the women's drop-in - before you go.
How to play here
Gym rentals are priced by group class, booked in person at the center or by email, with an approved rental agreement and deposit before the booking is confirmed (city reservation package, rev. 22 Jan 2026). Double gymnasium: $100/hr Class A (youth groups at least 75% Cobb County residents), $125 Class B (Cobb non-profits and service clubs), $150 Class C (groups at least 50% Cobb residents), $200 Class D (non-resident groups), $250 Class E (commercial or fund-raising) - every class carries a 4-hour minimum plus a refundable $250 security deposit, and double-gym use is capped at three days a week. Single gymnasium, sporting practices only, 1-hour minimum and 2-hour maximum per team per day: $25/hr Class A, $30 Class C, $50 Class D, plus a $50 deposit. Half of a single gym: $15, $20 and $35 per hour for the same classes, plus a $50 deposit. Renters must carry $1,000,000 combined-single-limit liability insurance naming the City as additional insured, may not charge a fee or take donations during a rental without prior agreement, and forfeit the deposit on a cancellation inside seven business days.
